Elliott bay and Duwamish History: George Blomberg to speak at Log House Museum

Tuesday, September 8, 7 p.m. at the Log House Museum
, George Blomberg, who has been working on industrial development and environmental programs at the Port of Seattle since 1985, will give a talk and photo presentation on the scope of landscape change in south Elliott Bay and the Duwamish River estuary, from 1854 to the present. The talk will provide historical context for considering future economic, community, and environmental change in the Duwamish industrial area. His talk is jointly sponsored by the Southwest Seattle Historical Society and the Pacific Northwest Historians Guild and is part of Telling Our Westside Stories: the Land, a program focus of the Log House Museum for 2009. Admission is free; donations accepted.
